Section 508 is intended to enforce electronic product designs for persons with disabilities. However, under paragraph 1194.3, the following statement is made: 1194.3 General exceptions. f. Products located in spaces frequented only by service personnel for maintenance, repair, or occasional monitoring of equipment are not required to comply with this part. It is therefore dependent on the use of the electronic equipment. Although we have made every effort to provide multiple methods of feedback (audio and visual), our manuals and keypads are not in Braille, and the products were not specifically designed to comply with section 508.
