Do I need to have my client DUT on the same PC as LANLook (when using the MT8860B as an access point for Txtests)?

No. LANLook offers the ability to auto-detect the client IP address if the device is connected to the same PC as LANLook. This is not a requirement and you can simply type in the IP address of your client and associate it to the MT8860B with separate software.
