Anritsu FAQs

Is the MT8852B only useful in manufacturing environments?
answer
No. The MT8852B is also a very powerful instrument for design and development engineers. All tests are run exactly as defined in the Bluetooth SIG 2.0 system specification document. This compliance to the specification, along with the following software support packages make the MT8852B an ideal development tool. Support software packages include; BlueTest software allows you to: Configure scripts and run Bluetooth tests remotely using up to 16 MT885xA test sets. Copy settings from any of the test sets to BlueTest. Apply settings from BlueTest to all of the test sets in the line. View and print detailed reports of the tests conducted or archive for future analysis. Write test results to a database on the local drive or to a separate server computer. BlueSuite software allows you to: View graphs of frequency deviation, power burst profiles, IQ diagrams and modulation eye diagrams. Define custom test scripts at the interface on the PC and read script results from the test set. Use the LMP log capture facility for interoperability testing during protocol development. BlueSuite Pro software allows you to: Display graphs of the output power, deviation, carrier drift and sensitivity on each of the 79 channels. Run automated sensitivity search software for automatic measurements of BER and FER against receiver input level. Acquire a log of the link manager protocol messages passed between the MT8850A/MT8852A and the Bluetooth EUT. Use the [Bluetooth Protocol Control] window to step through individual LMP controls such as inquiry, paging, connection, reading of the supported features, and individual test control messages. Configure and run sensitivity sweeps on all 79 Bluetooth channels. Select to trigger the capture of only packets failing the selected test limits. Use the [Script Control] dialog box to select the tests to be performed within each script, configure the test settings, run the script, and read the results back to the PC. Configure audio measurements and display a graph of audio frequency response and distortion. Configure and run a power control test and display the resulting steps as a gr aph.
