I switch-on the MT8860B WLAN Test Set and try to connect remotely over GPIB. Why is the instrument not detected? Why does the "On" LED start to flash a short time after switching on the MT8860B WLAN Test Set?
It takes approximately three minutes for the PC within the MT8860B to boot up. During this time the status of the instrument is indicated by the On and Controller Activity LEDs that are located on the front panel. i. When the MT8860B is first switched on, both the On and Controller Activity LEDs are lit. ii. After approximately two minutes, the ON LED starts to flash. The Controller Activity LED remains lit. iii. Finally, the On LED stops flashing and becomes permanently lit. The Controller Activity LED turns off. At this point the MT8860B has completed the boot up process and it should now be possible to connect remotely via GPIB.
