What is the difference between the MW9076D and the MW9076D1?
answer
The MW9076D models have 4 wavelengths, 1310, 1550, 1625nm and a wavelength in the 1400nm region. The only difference between the two units is the wavelength in the 1400nm region. The original "D" unit used the 1410nm wavelength. However, on older fiber, the OH, "water" peak caused high fiber attenuation at that wavelength and limited the range of the CD measurements. The "D1" model moved that wavelength out of this high attenuation window to 1450nm.
