How are ports controlled when multiple MD1230A units are connected together?
The primary MD1230A unit can manipulate/operate all the ports of the other MD1230A units as well as its own ports. The primary MD1230A unit's user interface (GUI) is used for controlling the operations of the other units. Of course, the physical cable connections have to be made on the test ports of the individual units.
