When are the MD1230A -01, -02, or -03 options required?
These options are needed only for remote control using GPIB commands over RS-232, GPIB, or Ethernet interfaces. The MD1230A-01 option is required for RS-232C control; MD1230A-02 is for GPIB bus control; and MD1230A-03 is for Ethernet control. Note that no option is required when performing remote control from an external PC GUI using the MX123001A Remote Control Software.
