The VectorStar Broadband ME7828A system begins a new era in broadband characterization offering many advances in broadband performance including:

  1. Industry-best broadband frequency coverage - starts at 70 kHz instead of 10 MHz.
  2. Industry-best dynamic range: typical 90 dB vs 75 dB at 65 GHz
  3. Industry-best measurement speed: 120 ms vs 500 ms for 201 pts.
  4. Industry-best calibration and measurement stability: 0.1 dB vs 0.6 dB over 24 hrs.
  5. Millimeter-wave waveguide coverage to 0.5 THz

The ME7828A takes full advantage of the VectorStar's superior performance:

  • The best available time domain analysis utilizing the most points available in a single channel and the widest broadband frequency.
  • Utilizes the fast switching speed of the MG37022A Wildfire sources for sweep speeds four to ten times faster than other systems when sweeping in the millimeter wave range.
  • Easily upgrade current 0.04-110 GHz ME7808C Lightning-based systems to the frequency and dynamic range performance of the ME7828A by simply upgrading the VNA.
  • The broadband system may be configured to include a full range of banded millimeter-wave modules extending the frequency range up to 500 GHz.
