Industry Exploration for 6G and Beyond 5G
07/11/2024 ,
The mobile market experienced significant growth from the 3G era to 4G, driven by the proliferation of smartphones and streaming services. The network traffic is rapidly increasing due to the widespread adoption of generative AI and IoT devices. Consequently, the expansion of 5G is inevitable to support this surge in traffic. Furthermore, other advanced communication infrastructures, including the Innovative Optical and Wireless Network concept (IOWN), continue to advance, paving the way for a smart society.
Compared to previous generations, 6G networks are expected to offer new usage scenarios by new technologies in addition to the enhancements of significantly higher speeds, lower latency, and greater reliability, according to the ongoing discussions in 3GPP Release 19.
Anritsu is focusing on developing innovative test and measurement solutions to enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of 6G networks, supporting the development of next-generation communication systems.
