6G based Solutions

6G is the next-generation network that combines wireless, optical, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other technologies to achieve high communication speeds, ultra-low latency, and high reliability far beyond 5G. Anritsu is focusing on the realization of 6G by researching new frequency bands, utilizing AI and machine learning, and improving energy efficiency.

  • Enabling New Possibilities in Virtualized Protocol Testing with Software based Solutions
Virtual network simulator testing contributes to quality assurance and efficiency across various departments for UE/modem testing. We demonstrate a software-based 5G network simulator solution (Virtual ST) that provides a verification.
  • Over the Air evaluation of RIS surfaces for the FR3 band
Utilising MT8000A to support FR3 transmissions and reception/measurement, Postech and LGU+ could verify the correct performance of a RIS surface when placed in a test chamber and measured 'over the air’.
  • S-Parameter Measurements using PhaseLync Distributed VNA
The PhaseLync™ technology combines two ShockLine™ MS46131As into a Fully Reversing 2-Port VNA allowing to put the VNA ports more than 100 meters apart from each other. This solution simplifies long-distance S-parameter measurements and VNA test system integration by removing the need to use conventional benchtop VNAs with long cable runs.
  • Research Programmes for Beyond 5G and 6G
The Anritsu 6G research programmes cover a range of future connectivity technologies. This includes evaluation of new frequency bands at FR3 and technologies for sub-THz, evaluating new waveforms for Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), and measurement of meta surfaces for Reflective Intelligent Surfaces (RIS).

  • 6G-ready ML-Powered Spectrum Forecasting Beyond 5G Spectrum Surveillance: from Cloud-Managed Monitoring to ML-Powered Forecasting
University of Rome Tor Vergata’s SweepTron, a SW-based Network that remotely controls and manages Spectrum Monitoring from different Spectrum Analyzers and Monitoring Units (MS2760A, MS2090A, MS2720xA, MS27102A). SweepTron uses a SW-based measurement protocol to retrieve time-series spectrum data over very long-time ranges (up to years).
