The MG3710E is a vector signal generator with 6 GHz upper frequency limit and 120 MHz wide RF modulation baseband generator. It outputs various radio systems signals for cellular communications, such as LTE FDD/TDD, W-CDMA, GSM as well as narrowband communications, such as WLAN, Bluetooth and GPS.

The IQproducerTM is Windows application software used to generate a modulated waveform pattern to be used in the Vector Signal Generator MG3700A/MG3710A or the Analog Signal Generator MG3740A, which integrates an arbitrary waveform generator. The IQproducerTM for MG3700A/MG3710A/MG3740A also transfers the generated data to the MG3700A/MG3710A/MG3740A via LAN.

Each category contains multiple waveform pattern files each with preset parameters for each system. These default waveform patterns are saved on the MG3710A/B hard disk for easy access, but other waveform patterns are supported using the IQproducer waveform generation software.

Parameters for the waveform for the target communication system are set using a GUI to a generate a waveform pattern file for the MG3710A. The embedded Windows application IQproducer saves generated arbitrary waveform pattern files to the internal hard disk and signals are output simply by selecting the waveform pattern. In addition, a user-generated custom IQ sample file in ASCII format created by common Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software such as MATLAB, can be converted into a
custom waveform pattern file for the MG3710A.

MX371055A Interference Waveform Pattern for 5G NR Receiver Test (hereafter “this waveform pattern”) contains interference waveform pattern conforming to the 3GPP TS38.521-1 V17.0.0 (2021-03). Installing this waveform pattern to the MG3710A/MG3710E Vector Signal Generator (hereafter MG3710A/MG3710E) supports generation of interference waveform pattern signals used at 5G NR UE of Sub-6 GHz band for receiver tests. Use of this waveform pattern requires a license corresponding to the serial number of the MG3710A/MG3710E using the pattern. When using this pattern on multiple MG3710A/MG3710E units, a license must be purchased for each MG3710A/MG3710E unit using this pattern.
