How to setup the MT8852A for an EDR demo?
The MT8852A currently supports only a software implementation of EDR. To accomplish this demo, two pieces of software need to be loaded onto a PC: 1. Option 17 software that comes with EDR. 2. Some kind of control software for the DUT. The DUT is controlled by using a USB cable connected to a PC and is controlled by its proprietary software. The Anritsu MT8852A is controlled via GPIB. The communication between the DUT and and MT8852A is accomplished by using either two antennas, or by using an RF cable.
