MP1900A and DPO70000SX

The launch and spread of 5G communication systems is driving the continued growth of data volumes. Data centers have an increasing need to process these large amounts of information faster. To help meet that need for speed, PCI Express interfaces are being introduced in data center equipment, such as transmission devices, servers, storage, and more. This will require standardized compliance tests meeting the PCIe® 5.0 (32 GT/s) specifications, starting in 2021.

This PCI Express 5.0 test system integrates Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A with Tektronix’s ATI Performance Oscilloscope DPO70000SX series and automation software, and we designed it to help with the development of the industry.

Combining the MP1900A and DPO70000SX supports a fully automated PCIe 5.0 complex calibration and compliance test system.

Complex PCIe 3.0/4.0/5.0 Calibration and Compliance Tests are fully automated by combining the MP1900A and 10Zi-A.

Fully Automated Tests

The Tektronix software performs fully automated control of the DPO70000SX and SQA-R MP1900A to execute the PCIe transmitter, receiver, and Link Equalization compliance tests.

Refined Test Functions

PCI Express 5.0 operating at high speeds of 32 GT/s requires more detailed signal-integrity testing than previously. With its versatile PCI Express Link Equalization and Link Training Analysis functions, the MP1900A can pinpoint problems using full LTSSM control, navigation, and trigger generation. The DPO70000SX uses a unique asynchronous time interval (ATI) architecture to capture low-noise signals accurately for signal integrity analysis in combination with Eye analysis, jitter, and noise analysis tools to configure a comprehensive platform for debugging signal integrity issues.
