Allan, TX – June 13, 2023 – Anritsu Company announces its Spectrum Analyzer/Signal Analyzer MS2830A will be part of a V-band Y-factor measurement demonstration that will be conducted throughout IMS2023 in the Eravant booth (#1418). The demonstration will highlight a combined solution featuring the MS2830A and Eravant down converter, synthesizer, and NIST-traceable WR-15 noise source that can conduct cost-efficient millimeter wave (mmWave) measurements on 5G and emerging 6G designs.
The demonstration will feature the Eravant STC-N12-15-S1 V-band down converter, STZ-15-IT2 V-band noise source with TTL and trigger switch, and SOT-02220313200-SF-B6 frequency synthesizer module integrated with the MS2830A. The solution will conduct the Y-factor measurements on the Eravant SBL-5037533550-1515-E1 V-band low noise amplifier, which will serve as the device under test (DUT).
“It is very important to have Anritsu in our booth, as they are a recognized global test leader that has synergies with Eravant. Our demonstration with Anritsu supports Eravant’s vision to create cost-effective test environments to make mmWave accessible to a larger market audience,” said Wendy Shu, CEO of Eravant.
The MS2830A series provides unmatched value in its instrument class. Offering frequency coverage to 26.5 GHz and 43 GHz, the analyzers offer excellent performance, versatility, and measurement speed. They have Low Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) and high Third Order Intercept (TOI) to support measurements requiring wide dynamic range. Additionally, numerous measurement functions are built-in, including channel power, occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel leakage power (ACLR), and spurious emissions.
A key element of the demonstration is the new STZ-15-IT2 V-band noise source. A NIST-traceable noise source is critical to accurately measure 5G and 6G mmWave designs. To ensure measurement accuracy in high-frequency applications, Eravant is offering a new hot, cold liquid nitrogen calibration service in nine bands from 18 GHz to 220 GHz.
