Anritsu Demonstrates Metaverse Simulation Environment in Collaboration with InterDigital

Allen, TX – February 23, 2023 – Anritsu Corporation and InterDigital have developed a simulation environment that demonstrates how a user’s experience of an immersive metaverse can be enhanced.

To be shown live at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona (Hall 5 Stand D41), the demonstration will combine a 5G communications environment developed by Anritsu with an immersive metaverse user experience provided by InterDigital.

The 5G communications environment uses the advanced features of Anritsu’s MT8000A Network Simulator and the RTD custom script environment. InterDigital is using the 5G environment to demonstrate innovative connectivity concepts that enable a high-quality immersive user experience.

Using techniques to improve connectivity during handovers, the demonstration will show visitors how these features improve their experience of an immersive metaverse. The Anritsu MT8000A is able to support the latest 3GPP features and has the flexibility and powerful programming environment required to demonstrate these capabilities.
