Anritsu Test System First in Industry to Earn GCF FR2 Performance Test TPAC Certification
ME7873NR Now a GCF-approved Solution for Terminal Certification to Assist Rollout of 5G UE
Allen, TX – July 27, 2021 – Anritsu Company announces that its New Radio RF Conformance Test System ME7873NR is certified as the industry’s first system to meet the GCF Test Platform Approval Criteria (TPAC) for 5G NR RF conformance performance tests for the Frequency Range 2 (FR2) millimeter wave (mmWave) band. The ME7873NR successfully passed 5G NR FR2 Non-Standalone (NSA) TPAC-compliant performance tests at the July 2021 CAG meeting and is now a GCF-approved test system for terminal certification.
Prior to achieving this most recent GCF certification, Anritsu helped develop 5G FR2 RF Conformance Test standards at previous 3GPP RAN5 meetings. Anritsu intends to continue to play a key role in deployment of widespread commercial 5G services by obtaining further certifications for 5G RF/RRM tests.
ME7873NR Product Outline
The ME7873NR is an automated system for 3GPP TS 38.521/TS 38.533 5G NR RF and radio resource management (RRM) tests. It supports 5G NR Standalone (SA) and NSA modes. In addition, the ME7873NR integrates with the CATR Anechoic Chamber MA8172A for 5G Over-the-air (OTA) Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) tests covering all 5G frequency bands. This includes the 3GPP Frequency Range 1 (FR1) Sub-6 GHz band, as well as the FR2 mmWave spectrum.
A flexible system configuration allows the ME7873NR to be easily customized to meet specific customers’ required test and measurement conditions. Existing Anritsu LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA customers can easily upgrade to the ME7873NR 5G system. This simple enhancement path helps reduce investment costs.
