Richardson, TX – March 12, 2018 – Anritsu Company (booth #3130) will display leading-edge optical transport and datacom test solutions that meet the stringent requirements of today’s high-speed components and systems at OFC 2018, March 13-15 in San Diego. A portfolio of test solutions that address leading standards such as IEEE802.3bs™, CEI, and IBTA as well high-speed technologies, including PCIe Gen4/Gen5, Thunderbolt, and USB 3.0, will be shown to provide optical engineers with the verification tools necessary to design, manufacture, and maintain high-speed devices and interconnects, as well as data systems and networks.
Among the products on display will be the Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A and Network Master™ Pro MT1000A Optical Network Tester, both of which have been named finalists in the prestigious Lightwave Innovation Awards. Winners will be announced at the show. Other test solutions in the Anritsu OFC booth include the BERTWave™ MP2110A, MS9740A optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) and VectorStar® and ShockLine™ vector network analyzers (VNAs).
Optical engineers at all stages of high-speed communications will find the test solutions they need to conform their products in the Anritsu OFC booth:
200/400G PAM4 BER Test – A configuration featuring the MP1900A, MP2110A, and the G0375A PAM4 Encoder will conduct victim/aggressor tests on 400G Octal Small Form Factor Pluggable (OSFP) Direct Attach Copper Cable (DAC) and module compliance boards (MCBs) in accordance with IEEE 802.3bs, CEI, and IBTA.
100G Module/AOC Jitter Tolerance Test – The MP1900A and MP2110A will also be part of a demonstration that will accurately determine jitter tolerance of a 100G Active Optical Cable (AOC).
High-Speed Serial Bus Receiver Compliance Test – To support PCIe Gen3/Gen4/Gen5, USB3.0/3.1, Thunderbolt and other high-speed interconnects, Anritsu will demonstrate a time- and cost-efficient solution featuring the MP1900A with a real time oscilloscope and automation software.
400G Optical Chip/Module Test – For accurate measurements of high-speed optical chips and modules for data center applications, Anritsu will show the TEDCQ measurement capability of BERTWave MP2110A with the MP1900A 56G PAM4 BERT.
Centralized RAN (C-RAN) Mobile Front-haul and Back-haul - Mobile front-haul and back-haul demonstrations that include physical, data link and transport CPRI layer testing, as well as Baseband Unit (BBU) Emulation will be conducted with the Network Master family.
100G Interoperability – A joint 100G optical interoperability demonstration between Anritsu, CommScope and Finisar over single- and multi-mode Ultra-Low-Loss (ULL) fiber connections through CWDM4 Lite and SWDM4 data center interconnections will be held throughout OFC, as well.
E/O and O/E Measurement – Anritsu’s industry-leading VectorStar and ShockLine VNAs, along with O/E calibration modules, will perform highly accurate and stable optoelectronic measurements of modulators (E/O) and photoreceivers (O/E).
Anritsu will showcase its leadership by participating in the Test & Measurement Center (Booth #5623), which will demonstrate how to test emerging technologies. The MT1000A handheld tester, MP2110A all-in-one measuring instrument with built-in BERT and sampling oscilloscope, and VectorStar and ShockLine VNAs will be in the booth.
A member of the Ethernet Alliance, Anritsu will also participate an interoperability demonstration that encompasses 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE), 25GbE, 50GbE, 100GbE, and 400GbE technologies. The Network Master testers will be used in the demonstrations, which will take place in the Ethernet Alliance booth (#2648).
