Anritsu Introduces Industry’s First WLAN Test Set that Supports All IEEE802.11ac/n/a/g/b Standards

Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A is an Efficient, Accurate, and Economical Solution to Verify WLAN Device Performance in Operating State

Richardson, TX – February 13, 2017 – Anritsu Company introduces the Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A, the first instrument in its class that supports all IEEE802.11ac/n/a/g/b standards. An integrated one-box test set specifically developed to measure 802.11 WLAN devices, the MT8862A has advanced features, including built-in communications protocols, to create a more efficient, accurate and economical solution to verify the performance of WLAN devices in their actual operating state.

The Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A provides design engineers and quality assurance professionals with an easy-to-operate instrument to verify WLAN devices, including those used in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Its built-in standard WLAN protocol messaging (WLAN signaling) with Network Mode allows transmitter and receiver performance of a WLAN device to be measured non-destructively using an Over-The-Air (OTA) measurement. It can be easily and quickly integrated into a production line, and is simple to maintain and calibrate. The Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A reduces test system costs, increases production throughput, and delivers the most flexible WLAN testing available.

Engineers realize numerous advantages when using the Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A compared to conventional WLAN test equipment. For example, the MT8862A provides more accurate and repeatable results during manufacturing because it eliminates the need for a special inspection test mode that requires a physical control line connecting the WLAN DUTs to test equipment, which is required by other solutions.
