Allen, TX – September 12, 2018 – Emerging technologies that address the bandwidth and spectrum issues associated with today’s wireless ecosystem and how to test them will be highlighted by Anritsu Company at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Americas 2018 in Los Angeles, September 12-14. Test solutions for 5G New Radio (NR), IoT, Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), and Gigabit LTE, among others, will be showcased in the Anritsu booth (#2918), helping chipset, device, and network engineers verify designs and speed time to market.
Anritsu will unveil its Radio Communication Test System MT8000A during the show. The introduction of the MT8000A expands Anritsu’s 5G test portfolio and reaffirms the company’s commitment to providing efficient and accurate solutions for the successful rollout of 5G NR. Other 5G NR solutions in the Anritsu MWC Americas booth will be the Spectrum/Signal Analyzer MS2850A and Vector Signal Generator MG3710A. All the solutions will be conducting 5G NR device tests in accordance with the 3GPP standard.
Verifying designs for IoT applications requires test solutions that support a variety of technologies, including WLAN, Bluetooth, and Cellular. To address this need, Anritsu will showcase its Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A, Universal Test Set MT8870A, and Bluetooth Test Set MT8852B. The instruments are used during development and production of IoT chipsets and devices to verify performance in the challenging and mission-critical environments associated with many IoT applications.
A demonstration with Sierra Wireless will highlight testing of CBRS devices and systems, which is becoming increasingly important as mobile operators prepare to utilize Band 48 to increase LTE network capacity and speed. The Radio Communications Analyzer MT8821C will conduct RF parametric and throughput tests in the 3.5 GHz CBRS band to verify that the Sierra Wireless networking module meets CBRS specifications.
The MT8821C also supports Gigabit LTE, which can deliver speeds up to 1 Gbps to address the high-bandwidth needs associated with 5G. At MWC Americas, Anritsu will display stable physical layer download speeds of 2 Gbps using the MT8821C and a mobile test device powered by an LTE modem and a network simulator using 5CC with 4x4 MIMO and 256-QAM modulation on all five carriers.
Anritsu will also show the capability of its Signalling Tester MD8475B to test 1.6 Gbps using 4CC CA with 4x4 MIMO, 256QAM on two bands with two contiguous pairs. Four separate bands using four non-contiguous channels using two MD8475B base station simulators will also be shown.
Next-generation Portable Test
Anritsu’s portfolio of field solutions to verify the deployment, installation, and maintenance of next-generation networks will also be on display in its booth. The industry’s first PIM Over CPRI capability, which is part of the BTS Master™ Handheld Base Station Analyzers, will be shown. The Spectrum Master™ MS2760A ultraportable spectrum analyzer and Network Master™ Pro MT1000A will be in the booth, as well.
