Anritsu Assists ITRI in Building a mmWave Dk/Df Material Dielectric Property Verification Platform

2024/06/24
Automated Measurement Solutions for Millimeter-Wave Materials Development through VectorStar and ShockLine Vector Network Analyzer Series

Anritsu collaborates with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to establish a verification system for the dielectric properties of millimeter-wave (mmWave) materials. Leveraging Anritsu’s advanced mmWave network analyzers, ITRI has set up a high-precision measurement system for the dielectric properties of mmWave frequency materials, as well as a related impedance analysis platform. Through ITRI’s dielectric constant measurement technology, Anritsu has also developed a comprehensive 10/28/38/39 GHz material dielectric properties measurement system and provided related solutions.

With the increasing usage of higher frequency bands in wireless communication and the growing prevalence of 5G and automotive radar applications, verifying the properties of mmWave materials has become a critical concern for developers. With Anritsu’s network analyzer technology support, ITRI has constructed capabilities for measuring the dielectric properties of high-frequency materials under ISO 17025 certification. This provides automated measurement solutions for developers of mmWave materials and helps Taiwanese companies gain a competitive edge in the upcoming generation of 6G wireless communication and AI-driven mmWave big data transmission.

Ivan Chen, General Manager of Anritsu Taiwan, stated: “We are honored to assist ITRI in the research and development of ultra-high-frequency material testing and verification. Anritsu’s VectorStar and ShockLine vector network analyzer series have made significant contributions within the corresponding spectrum range. Additionally, Anritsu is committed to the mmWave material measurement market, and we believe these capabilities will provide the best testing environment for the material measurement industry.”
