Anritsu Company is proud to announce that Dr. Alexander Chenakin has been elevated to the most prestigious position as an IEEE Fellow.

The IEEE is a community of more than 450,000 technology and engineering professionals worldwide. Each year, the IEEE Fellows Committee recommends a select group of recipients for consideration of elevation based on lifetime contributions to a particular field. Less than 0.1% of members are selected annually for this highest grade of membership in the IEEE. Dr. Chenakin achieved elevation to IEEE Fellow (effective January 1, 2024) for contributions to microwave frequency synthesis technology.

About Alexander Chenakin

Dr. Chenakin is well recognized in the field of frequency synthesis. As Chief Technology Officer at Anritsu Company, he oversees the development of various test and measurement instruments. In 2009, he received the ARMMS RF&Microwave Society’s award for his work on fast-switching frequency synthesizers. In 2022, Dr. Chenakin was elected as Chair of the IEEE TC-10 Signal Generation and Conversion Committee. His professional achievements have been widely presented in trade publications and international conferences. He has written more than 50 technical articles and holds six U.S. patents. In addition, Dr. Chenakin is the author of an Artech House published textbook about frequency synthesizers.
