Anritsu is pleased to announce that it has jointly developed a 43.5 GHz 24-port Non-blocking Automatic Switching Test System with the High-Speed Transmission Interface Electronic Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center of Lunghua University of Science and Technology (LHU). Coupling with Anritsu automatic testing software, this cutting-edge system has been successfully used in fully automatic testing of USB4® passive cables. Furthermore, this versatile system can be adapted for testing a variety of other high-speed cables, test boards and multi-port high-speed components for fully automatic testing environments. This partnership is anticipated to play a significant role in accelerating the development of Taiwan's high-speed transmission industry.
The global high-speed connector market continues to expand, and with the development of corresponding high-speed cables and accessories, the time required for multi-channel testing and verification has become even more time-consuming. In particular, with the emergence of USB4®, the versatility of cable applications has significantly increased. Even for USB4 transmission cables, various functionalities such as high-speed data transfer, synchronized audio and video transmission, or efficient charging may be required to meet different application scenarios, all while maintaining the quality of long-distance high-speed transmission. Therefore, it is increasingly important to verify the high-speed transmission characteristics of the related accessories and components around the connector.
With unprecedented high value and performance, the ShockLine™ MS46524B 4-port Vector Network Analyzer series offers the best-in-class dynamic range, reduces testing costs in various applications and accelerates product verification processes. These testing applications include designing and manufacturing multi-port mobile network devices, mobile devices, automotive cables, high-speed data interconnects, and system integration components.

Yih-Chien Chen, Vice President of LHU stated, "Generative AI is gradually integrating into people's lives and playing a crucial role in various industries. Coupled with the massive data volume and high-speed transmission processing demands of the 5G era, various types of transmission interface technologies are evolving towards higher performance specifications. This has led to a significant increase in the demand for high-speed computing and drove a pressing need for skilled professionals in related industries. In 2022, our school was granted a 100 million NT dollar subsidy by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to establish the High-Speed Transmission Interface Electronic Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center, which will be officially inaugurated in mid-November this year."
Vice President Chen emphasized that the "High-Speed Transmission Interface Electronic Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center" is built upon the practical technology and R&D capabilities established in the university's existing "3D Digital Circuit Board Design & Intelligence Manufacturing Factory" and "5G Communication Module Testing and Adjusting Service Training Center", both of which are industry talent training bases. This new center is dedicated to high-speed transmission interface electronic packaging design and testing, including related laboratories for electronic packaging layout, design, testing research and verification. The university will supplement this initiative with curriculum development, seed teacher training for partner schools, and the formation of a technical support team to assist in industry upgrading. It aims to become a university that offers integrated design and manufacturing services to companies, providing significant support for advanced product development in the transmission interface industry. Additionally, it will foster students' professional capabilities to align with the needs of the domestic electronics industry and develop practical talent for Taiwan's electronics industry.
"We are delighted that LHU continues to trust in Anritsu's advanced technology in communication equipment,” said Ivan Chen, General Manager of Anritsu Taiwan. “This collaborative development of the 43.5 GHz 24-port non-blocking automatic test system not only relied on LHU's measurement framework but was also completed through the joint efforts of Anritsu's engineering and software departments. It effectively integrated resources from both Japan and Taiwan's local professional supply chain teams. This collaboration will undoubtedly give a strong boost to the global high-speed industry's development."
About Lunghwa University of Science and Technology
Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU) is positioned as a university of applied science and technology that cultivates outstanding professionals for industry and provides innovative technical services. Based on a practical and pragmatic approach, our university adheres to the principle of "two nots and two musts." "Two nots" means that we do not deliberately pursue international university ranking, nor do we make our educational objective to cultivate Nobel laureates. "Two musts" entails that after graduation, our students must be highly sought after by businesses, willing to employ them with more competitive compensation, and that our university must possess sufficient research capabilities to assist industries in problem-solving, transformation and upgrading.
Taiwan MOE Established Regional Talent and Technical Training Base, "High-Speed Transmission Interface Electronic Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center"
The LHU has been granted a subsidy of 100 million NT dollars by the MOE to establish the "High-Speed Transmission Interface Electronic Packaging Design and Testing Talent Training and Technology Center." Leveraging the practical technology and research capabilities established in two industry talent training bases, this new center will focus on electronic packaging design and testing for high-speed transmission interfaces. It will include laboratories for electronic packaging layout, design, testing research, and verification. Additionally, it will offer courses, seed teacher training for partner schools, and form a technical support team to assist in industry upgrading.
The LHU will collaborate closely with partner companies and universities to develop this center into not only the best in Taiwan but also the leading center for fostering talent in rapid transmission electronic components in Asia.
