Anritsu Corporation announces that accredited certification lab Polinom in Russia is using the ERA-GLONASS testing solution of Anritsu.
ERA-GLONASS is the system which provides quick emergency support after a traffic accident occurrence by using wireless communication network. After the beginning of Jan. 2017, all new car models released in Russia must be equipped with IVS which supports ERA-GLONASS. For ERA-GLONASS IVS verification, the certification test in the designated lab referring GOST R 55530-2013 defined by Government of Russia using laboratory test equipment is required.
Anritsu test solutions are widely used in Japan and global markets, and now officially approved test equipment by the certification lab this time in Russia where the ERA-GLONASS service has been deployed, with the test solution of MD8475A
Signalling Tester and the dedicated software MX703330E-031 MSD ERA GLONASS option.
Anritsu is a global leader in the area of test solutions for Connected Car, and contributes to the development of the safe and secure society in the Connected Car and Driver Safety Alert fields where the human life is prioritized first. The Anritsu MD8475A test solution provides a HIL (Hardware In the Loop) laboratory test capability to ensure the establishment of reliable wireless communication links to the vehicle.
The communication unit equipped with the car (IVS, In-Vehicle-System) detects a traffic accident occurrence, connects to the emergency contact center (PSAP、Public Safety Answering Point) manually/automatically, and sends several kinds of information (e.g. location, time, number of passengers, vehicle type, etc. ) as the voice signal. With these information sent from IVS, the operator of PSAP makes voice call and sends SMS to the passenger, then gives a call for service of the fire crew, police officer, and the rescue team as needed.
