Anritsu Corporation is pleased to announce the two software packages for non-signaling RF tests of 5G base stations (BTS) by enhancing Radio Communications Test Station MT8000A. Base Station Test Suite for NR mmWave MX800045A and Base Station Test Suite for NR sub-6 GHz MX800046A have been released from September-17.
MT8000A are used globally used globally as all-in-one platform that can support RF, protocol, and other functional tests for 5G radio and device. Two software supports both downlink measurement for Tx tests and uplink signal generation for Rx tests compliant with 3GPP TS38.141. In addition, MT8000A can improve test efficiency dramatically with 4 RF ports parallel measurement. With this all-in-one measurement solution, Anritsu contributes the efficiency improvement and cost reduction for 5G BTS manufacturing.

[Development Background]

The rollout of full-scale 5G services is driving increased mass-production of 5G BTS as well as model diversification. The volumes of BTS are increasing and configuration are diversified according to market demands while also increasing the pressure for cost reductions. Moreover, the number of BTS antennas is increasing and the test time becomes longer. In these market trend, BTS manufacturing requires test configurations flexibility as well as lower test costs, and shorter test times.

To solve these issues, Anritsu has released these two test suites supporting both FR1 and FR2 with multiple RF ports realizing more effective RF tests of 5G BTS.
