Supplier Engagement Leader CDP 2025

ANRITSU CORPORATION (President Hirokazu Hamada) has been selected as a “Supplier Engagement Leader,” the highest rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP[※1], an international non-profit organization in the environmental field. In addition, Anritsu achieved an “A” score in CDP’s 2025 climate change assessment, maintaining this highest rating for a second consecutive year.

The SEA evaluates how effectively companies collaborate with their suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the entire supply chain. Companies responding to CDP’s climate change questionnaire are assessed in five categories — “Governance,” “Targets,” “Risk Management,” “Scope 3 Emissions,” and “Value Chain Engagement” — and those demonstrating outstanding initiatives are recognized as “Supplier Engagement Leaders.” This marks Anritsu’s fifth selection, following recognition in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Anritsu is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and has set science-based goals of reducing Scope 1 and 2[※2]GHG emissions by 42% (compared to FY2021 levels) and Scope 3 (Categories 1 and 11)[※3]emissions by 27.5% (compared to FY2019 levels) by 2030. These targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with Scope 1 and 2 recognized as aligned with the 1.5°C climate goal[※4]and Scope 3 (Categories 1 and 11) recognized as aligned with the Well-below 2°C climate goal[※5]. To reach these ambitious targets, Anritsu has emphasized close collaboration across its supply chain. In particular, for Scope 3 Category 1 (“Purchased goods and services”), the company holds policy briefings and regular supplier engagement meetings with key suppliers. Through these meetings, Anritsu asks suppliers to measure and disclose their own GHG emissions and to establish reduction targets in line with global 1.5°C climate objectives. The company also shares reduction best practices and supports supplier initiatives — such as improving energy efficiency and introducing renewable energy — through the Anritsu Group Global Green Procurement Specification[※6]. By means of these cooperative efforts, Anritsu has strengthened risk management and engagement across the value chain, contributing to GHG emissions reduction throughout its supply network.

Going forward, Anritsu will continue to position climate change mitigation as a top management priority and further enhance supplier engagement and risk management processes across the supply chain to reduce GHG emissions and contribute to a sustainable, low carbon society.

[※5]
the Well-below 2°C climate goal – An international climate goal to limit the increase in global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels.
[※6]
the Anritsu Group Global Green Procurement Specification – Specification established by Anritsu for its suppliers, outlining expectations related to environmental regulatory compliance, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, energy efficiency improvements, and the use of renewable energy.
