Anritsu endorses the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and registers as a TNFD Adopter

2025/06/12

ANRITSU CORPORATION (President: Koichi Hamada) endorses the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and registered as a TNFD Adopter in May 2025. Anritsu plans to start disclosing nature-related information in line with the TNFD recommendations in fiscal year 2025 and will gradually expand its support.

Anritsu recognizes that it is dependent on nature in terms of mineral resources used as materials for its products, product manufacturing, energy and water supplies essential for business activities and land use. Additionally, Anritsu is supported by atmospheric stability and water and soil purification functions.

We have always been committed to biodiversity conservation through the reduction of energy consumption, appropriate management of chemical substances and waste reduction. Going forward, Anritsu will also assess, on a regional basis, whether its business activities intersect with areas of high biodiversity value, and to what extent the company depends on and impacts nature. Anritsu will evaluate these assessments in terms of their significance as business risks and opportunities. Based on the findings, Anritsu will set management and mitigation targets, and promote initiatives aimed at generating positive impacts on nature through its business operations.

By disclosing this information, Anritsu will strengthen the relationship of trust with its stakeholders and strive to sustainably enhance its corporate value.

Companies and organizations newly registered as TNFD Adopters after COP16 (the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity), held in October 2024, will be officially announced at COP30 (the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), scheduled to take place in Brazil in November 2025.

What is TNFD?

A task force established in 2021 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other agencies. In September 2023, the TNFD published recommendations for companies, financial institutions and others to identify, assess, manage and disclose nature-related risks and opportunities. The TNFD aims to reduce the negative impacts of corporate activities and funds on nature through disclosure by companies and others. The TNFD aims to transform the flow of corporate activities and funds that have a negative impact on nature into a flow that has a positive impact on nature.

TNFD Adopters are companies and organizations that have expressed their commitment to disclose information in line with the TNFD's disclosure recommendations in reports and other documents issued by the company.
