Rejector Systems

Rejector

Rejector is installed downstream of the product inspection equipment in the manufacturing process and play a critical role in automatically eliminating defective or non-compliant products. Anritsu has been developing and providing highly reliable rejectors for over 60 years. They can be flexibly integrated into existing production lines and can be connected for use not only with Anritsu’s equipment, but also with inspection machines made by other companies.

Selection Criteria for the Rejector (Example)

To propose the optimal rejector, we consider and examine the following conditions:

Selection criteria (example)

  • Product shape, packaging form, dimensions
  • Product weight
  • Production capacity
  • Number of rejection points
  • Presence of installation space constraints
  • Environmental resistance (such as waterproof and dustproof performance)

Type of Rejectors

We offer a variety of rejectors tailored to the selection criteria. If there is a type of rejector not listed here that you are interested in, please contact us.

Flipper Type

Flipper type

This is the most versatile method of directing selected items using one to two selection gates. It is suitable for boxes and thick bags.

Dropout Type

Dropout Type

In this method, during selection, the rejection gate (conveyor) lowers to drop the selected items below the line.

Up and Out Type

Up and Out Type

In this method, the rejection conveyor lowers during selection, dropping the selected items below the line. Rejected items drop into the main unit, so there is no need to ensure space beneath the subsequent conveyor.

Air Jet Type

Air Jet Type

This method involves blowing air onto the rejected items to remove them. It is suitable for high-speed rejection of small and lightweight items such as individually packaged products.

Carrier Type

Carrier type

This method classifies directions on the same plane without applying impact to the rejected items. To prevent damage during rejection, this method is suitable for items that will be reused after corrections.

Chute Type

Chute Type

In this method, during rejection, the chute section inverts to drop sorted items below the line. It is suitable for rejection of lightweight loose items.

Shuttle Type

Shuttle Type

This method utilizes an adjustable belt surface that extends and retracts during rejection to drop rejected items. It enables the rejection of high-adhesion loose items such as unpackaged livestock and seafood products.

Pusher Type

Pusher type

This method uses a rejection gate attached to the tip of the air cylinder to push and remove rejected items.

Examples of Rejector Integration

The following are a few examples of connections between the rejector and Anritsu's inspection equipment, as well as with other equipment.

Example of integrating the rejector

(1) Integrated Metal Detector and Checkweigher & Three-Way Flipper Rejector

The metal-contaminated items and underweight items are discharged in different directions, whereas the conforming products are transported to a subsequent conveyor.

(2) Checkweigher & Multi-Stage Rejector

Products are sorted by weight into various categories such as S, M, and L ranks.

Visual inspection equipment (Manufactured by Company A) & Print Inspection Device (Manufactured by Company B) & Carrier Rejector

(3) Visual inspection equipment (manufactured by Company A) & Print inspection equipment (manufactured by Company B) & Carrier Rejector

The system sorts into three directions: defective prints, appearance defects, and conforming products. It ensures smooth transfer to the subsequent conveyor without damaging the products.
