Contribution to Local Communities

■ Tanzawa Oyama Nature Restoration Initiatives (in Japan)

Anritsu joined the Tanzawa-Oyama Nature Restoration Committee in 2022 in order to contribute to the conservation of the natural environment and biodiversity of Mt. Oyama, which can be seen from the company's headquarters in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, as well as to contribute to the protection of water resources.
In the Tanzawa Oyama area, major changes in the ecosystem began to occur in the 1980s, including the death of fir and beech trees and the loss of forest undergrowth. In response to this situation, this committee was established by NPOs, companies, experts in nature conservation, and government agencies.
Anritsu Group employees have volunteered to take part in the tree-planting event “Corridor (Green Corridor) from Mt. Oyama” organized by the Committee and the Tanzawa Nature Conservation Society, and have planted over 600 trees.

■ Community Cleanup Efforts (in Japan)

Anritsu Group employees participate in cleanup activities around the company's offices and in the Sagami River Cleanup Campaign.

■ Community Clean-up Activities (EMEA: Europe, the Middle East and Africa)

As part of its contribution to local communities, Anritsu EMEA designates a “Volunteer Day,” during which employees in each country carry out activities tailored to local needs.

  • Mowing grass and cleaning at a zoo, gardening at a homeless support facility, and cleaning at educational facilities (Slovakia)
  • Participation in National Clean-up Day (Romania)

Anritsu EMEA dedicated a “Volunteer Day,” during which employees in each country chose a focus area and organized volunteer initiatives that resonate with their local communities.

  • Italy saw Anritsu volunteers roll up their sleeves to clean the garden of a foster home, creating a safer, greener haven for its residents. Their hard work not only improved the environment but also fostered lasting memories and camaraderie.
  • In Romania, our team joined for National Clean-Up Day, proving that solidarity and sustainability go hand in hand. By cleaning natural and urban spaces, they reinforced Anritsu’s commitment to collective action and environmental stewardship.
  • In Slovakia, Anritsu teams made a real impact by transforming a kindergarten garden and, volunteering at both a homeless shelter and ZOO. Their dedication brought positive change to children, local communities, and animals alike.

Tohoku Anritsu conducts a “Screw Tightening Experience” program as part of its efforts to help children deepen their understanding of work, and to raise awareness of the appeal of working locally as well as the role of local companies. The program is delivered through hands-on classes at elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as through participation in career experience events such as the “Mirai Discovery Festa Koriyama” organized by Koriyama City and KidZania-related events (Out-of-KidZania).
In this program, participants experience basic manufacturing processes by following work instructions to tighten screws of different sizes and by using torque drivers to check tightening levels. Through repeated work until all screws meet specified standards, participants gain a hands-on understanding of the importance of quality assurance in manufacturing, as well as a sense of accomplishment associated with “monozukuri.”
