One-button operation completes multiple field tests with repeatable results and higher productivity
Anritsu Corporation, a global provider of innovative test and measurement solutions for advanced and converged networks, today announced the launch of One-Button Test for its next-generation Network Master Pro MT1000A and Network Master Flex MT1100A platforms. This new functionality starts with the user creating a detailed test configuration file on a PC using the Scenario Edit Environment Kit (SEEK) MX100003A, which includes the ability to add contextual or graphical prompts while completing multiple sequential tests with user-defined pass/fail thresholds. This file is then loaded into Network Master Pro or Flex test sets. When ready to test, users simply connect to the network and press a single button to run the test series, saving time and ensuring accurate and consistent results.
With today’s continuous network expansion, operators must maintain network quality using reliable procedures. To ensure networks perform as expected, operators implement their own managed systems. This One-Button test system helps simplify operators’ workloads and minimizes complexity for field technicians and onsite contractors. With simplicity as the core design goal, departments responsible for operations management, network quality control and network expansion can create “one-button” test scripts for field technicians, including multiple tests, such as BERT, RFC2544, and Y.1564 – each with individual criteria determining whether to continue to the next test section or not. Settings flexibility allows technicians to input network details and change the configuration and pass/fail criteria while still being managed by the operator, ensuring network quality and flexibility.
The One-Button test system also supports creation of default test packages with minimum required adjustment by the field technician, ensuring every technician can complete the job quickly, and minimizing human error. The technician simply selects the One-Button test to be completed on the Network Master Pro or Flex, follows the on-screen instructions provided by the management department, and watches the test results progress. On completion, the technician is presented with a single file containing all test results ready for submission, simplifying and cutting job time.
The One-Button test really simplifies the end-to-end process of installing and ensuring network quality. From the operator setting the required standards to the field technician completing the job quickly based on predefined requirements, the One-Button test cuts test times and costs while improving quality.
