Anritsu’s Rapid Test Designer offers fastest and most flexible way to measure Rich Communications Services on LTE
The new RCS option for the RTD VoLTE-IMS solution supports testing of the protocols needed to support presence, instant messaging, file transfer and XML Document Management (XDM)
Anritsu has made available a new extension to its Rapid Test Designer (RTD) solution that offers engineers a single supplier solution for testing LTE signalling with IMS functions, audio and video quality. The extension to RTD provides the fastest and most flexible way to test Rich Communications Services (RCS) on LTE devices during development. The unique test creation environment enables engineers to create tests 5-10 times faster than when using a traditional scripting language.
RCS is defined by the GSM Association and includes specifications for advanced communications services including IP voice and video calls, messaging, chat and content sharing. These rich communications require the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) technologies that are being deployed in the leading LTE networks today.
The Rapid Test Designer (RTD) VoLTE-IMS Solution contains Anritsu’s MD8430A signalling tester to simulate the LTE radio network. Anritsu teamed with Radvision, an Avaya company, to integrate its PROLAB IMS/RCS/VoLTE testing product with RTD.
