Station 1: 400G Optical TDECQ Test

This station demonstrates the auto equalization capability of the MP1900A/MP2110A combination. TDECQ characterizes the quality of a transmitted PAM4 eye rather than using eye masks traditionally used for NRZ transmission. This Anritsu solution coordinates MP1900A Emphasis and Linearity settings with MP2110A embedded TDECQ equalizer and filter to create a fully closed loop measurement system to optimize and measure TDECQ.

Station 2: 400G JTOL Test for PAM4 with FEC

This station demonstrates the clock recovery, automated jitter tolerance and ED capture functions when the DUT generates errors. Traditional jitter tolerance scenarios have the DUT operating in a loopback to drive data back into the MP1900A error detector for BER measurements. Anritsu supports the scenario where the DUT’s on-chip error checker provides the BER data in a jitter tolerance loop. The MP1900A’s jitter tolerance application seamlessly interoperates with customer DUTs as well as other equipment to query BER and other data to be used as a metric in the jitter tolerance measurement.

Station 3: 100G Optical Module Test

This station shows 4-channel simultaneous BER and scope test of 100G optical modules such as QSFP as well as the optical spectrum. The MP2110A BERTWave supports high speed optical module testing, simultaneously performing 4-lane BER measurements as well as optical and electrical waveform analysis. The MS9740B Optical Spectrum Analyzer embedded applications support fast characterization of WDM and other optical signals. This combined solution reduces production costs by shortening multi-lane active optical device evaluation times and supporting efficient BER and signal analysis.

MS9740B is a benchtop optical spectrum analyzer featirng wide dymanic range, high resolution, and fast sweep speeds over a wavelength range of 600 nm to 1750 nm. It supports multimode fiber input and is ideal for manufacturing and evaluating 850-nm band VCSEL modules.
