What is the reason for using quartz glass for the module transmission line?

Transmission line materials include alumina and resin-based high-frequency materials such as Teflon, in addition to glass materials. For this project, we used quartz glass, which has a low dielectric constant and allows a wide line width even with a thin plate thickness.

How do you simulate characteristics over 100G?

After simulating the characteristics of each component used, we repeated the simulation of connections between components and the entire module. The characteristics could be reproduced by also considering the conditions for port connections and the measurement environment.

Can the product be driven drive by a single power supply?

Although technically possible to incorporate a bias circuit into the IC to create a single power supply, performance was the primary consideration and a triple power supply configuration was used. A dedicated power supply is included to improve operability.

Can the output amplitude exceed 2.0 Vpp?

An output amplitude of around 3 Vpp is possible, but due to attenuation of the harmonic components as amplitude increases, the PAM4 waveform is assumed to cause distortion at the upper and lower eyes.

Can this product be used with baud rate above 140 Gbaud?

Although the TDECQ value deteriorates, operation up to 160 Gbaud has been confirmed.

When using two units for differential signals, can the propagation delays be matched?

There is no option to adjust the propagation delay for two amplifiers. For variations in typical phase characteristics, please refer to the technical note 'AH15199B Wideband Linear Amplifier Propagation Delay', where they are summarized.

Is channel skew adjustment used in the differential output waveform example?

After adjusting the input waveform skew, the differential output eye opening in the measurement example is obtained without adjusting the amplifier output channel skew.

Can the product heat sink be replaced by a user heat sink or chassis?

We do not recommended replacing the heat sink of this product, but if it is necessary, the thermal resistance of the replacement must be 10°C/W or less.

Is it possible to order bare chips?
