This document describes type and size of memory and storage device inside Anritsu Signal Analyzer and Signal Generator
series in order to use safely the products against information security threat.
This document explains how to order the new MG3710E and MG3710E/MG3710A retrofit options and software.
The MG3710E is a vector signal generator with 6 GHz upper frequency limit and 120 MHz wide RF modulation baseband generator. It outputs various radio systems signals for cellular communications, such as LTE FDD/TDD, W-CDMA, GSM as well as narrowband communications, such as WLAN, Bluetooth and GPS.
Introduces Anritsu 5G solutions and products.
Anritsu will contribute to customer's 5G product development and future innovation of network.
The MG3710A is a vector signal generator that includes an arbitrary waveform generator. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from R&D to manufacturing of digital mobile communication systems, devices, and equipment.
The MG3710A has the following features, and one MG3710A can address from the current major mobile communications to the next-generation mobile communications.
MX370114A/MX269914A 5G NR FDD sub-6GHz IQproducer™ is software used to generate
waveform patterns conforming to the 3GPP 5G NR specifications.
Parameters for the waveform for the target communication system are set using a GUI to a generate a waveform pattern file for the MG3710A. The embedded Windows application IQproducer saves generated arbitrary waveform pattern files to the internal hard disk and signals are output simply by selecting the waveform pattern. In addition, a user-generated custom IQ sample file in ASCII format created by common Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software such as MATLAB, can be converted into a
custom waveform pattern file for the MG3710A.
Each category contains multiple waveform pattern files each with preset parameters for each system. These default waveform patterns are saved on the MG3710A/B hard disk for easy access, but other waveform patterns are supported using the IQproducer waveform generation software.
Installing the DFS Radar Patterns option MX370073B/MX370075A in the Vector Signal Generator MG3710E supports output of FCC, ETSI and Japan MIC standards DFS test signals. Output of complex combinations of pulse, chirp and hopping signals required to support DFS tests is made easy just by selecting combination files supplied with the MX370073B/MX370075A.
Installing the DFS Radar Pattern MX370073B option in the Vector Signal Generator MG3710A/MG3710E supports output of FCC and Japan MIC standard DFS test signals.
External PC not required. Simply selecting prepared waveform pattern outputs various signals using MG3710A/MG3710E built-in Sequence function. Offers 5.3-GHz band waveform patterns adopted by Japan MIC standard in July 2019
Installing the MX370075A DFS (ETSI) Waveform Patterns option in the MG3710A Vector Signal Generator supports output of ETSI EN 301 893 DFS test signals. Output of complex combinations of pulse and chirp signals required to support DFS tests is made easy just by selecting combination files supplied with the MX370075A.
The MG3710A/MG3710E is a vector signal generator that includes an arbitrary
waveform generator. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from
R&D to manufacturing of digital mobile communication systems, devices,
The MG3740A is an analog signal generator. It can be used for a wide
range of applications, from R&D to manufacturing of analog radio base
stations, devices, and equipment.

5G mobile communications systems use multiple connections to meet the need for increases in mobile data traffic volumes as well as new functions such as ultra-low-latency.
3GPP determining the standards released the 5G NR non-standalone (NSA) specifications for making connections via multiple radio technologies, such as LTE, in Release 15 in June 2018.
Release 15 presumes the use of frequency bands up to 52.6 GHz and specifies the band from 450 MHz to 6 GHz as FR1 (Frequency Range 1), and from 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz as FR2 (Frequency Range 2). FR1 assumes use of the same wired tests as conventional wireless technologies whereas FR2 assumes OTA (Over the Air) testing.
This application note references the 3GPP TS38.104 and TS38.141 Conformance Test specifications, and introduces TRx test measurement examples for wired connections with sub-6 GHz base stations covering FR1 using the Signal Analyzer MS2850A and Vector Signal Generator MG3710A.

MX370073B DFS Radar Pattern (hereafter “this waveform pattern”)
contains standard waveform pattern conforming to the TELEC-T403
V12.1 and FCC06-96 (Released: June 30, 2006), FCC13-22 (Released:
February 20, 2013) Dynamic Frequency Selection test.
Downloading this waveform pattern to the MG3710A Vector Signal
Generator (hereafter MG3710A) supports generation of radar pattern
signals used at Rx Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) tests.
Use of this waveform pattern requires a license corresponding to the
serial number of the MG3710A using the pattern. When using this
pattern on multiple MG3710A units, a license must be purchased for each
MG3710A unit using this pattern.
The IQproducerTM is Windows application software used to generate a modulated waveform pattern to be used in the Vector Signal Generator MG3700A/MG3710A or the Analog Signal Generator MG3740A, which integrates an arbitrary waveform generator. The IQproducerTM for MG3700A/MG3710A/MG3740A also transfers the generated data to the MG3700A/MG3710A/MG3740A via LAN.
This describes basic operations and functions of the TDMA IQproducer.
