Richardson, TX – December 17, 2010 – Anritsu Company announces that it has received a prestigious 4GWE Wireless LTE Visionary Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), a global media company, and Crossfire Media. Anritsu was the only award winner that was recognized for multiple LTE products, as its MT8820C Radio Communications Analyzer, ME7873L LTE RF Conformance Test System, and MT8221B BTS Master handheld base station analyzer were acknowledged as three of the leading LTE test solutions.
“Anritsu has been at the forefront of LTE test. We have been active in standards organizations and have worked with leading LTE chipset companies. This approach has been critical in our ability to develop LTE test solutions that meet market needs during R&D, manufacturing, and deployment/installation,” said Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company, Americas Sales Region. “That point is evident in earning the LTE Visionary Award for test solutions that address all three stages.”
The 4GWE LTE Visionary Award has been bestowed upon companies that have demonstrated the planning and vision of delivering wireless broadband services to support different and unique communities of interest. The awards were presented by the 4G Wireless Evolution (4GWE) website, one of the properties operated by TMC and Crossfire Media.
“Winners were chosen based upon their ability to develop advancing LTE technologies and prove their commitment to the future of these technologies,” stated Carl Ford, co-founder and community developer of Crossfire. “Winners will be the innovators to watch for the next evolution of solutions.”
"The LTE Visionary Award recognizes companies that have the vision to advance the future of mobile broadband,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “Congratulations to Anritsu and all the winners.”
The MT8820C is an all-in-one solution that supports LTE FDD terminal development and manufacturing. The Tx characteristics of 3-mode LTE FDD/W-CDMA/GSM terminals, which are becoming very popular worldwide, can be evaluated using a single MT8820C unit.
The ME7873L LTE RF Conformance Test System is an integrated TRX, performance, and RRM test solution that provides the most PTCRB-approved test cases in the industry. It supports testing in either a test call or no-call test mode. LTE bands currently supported include 1 to 14, and 17.
The BTS Master MT8221B high-performance handheld base station analyzer supports emerging 4G standards as well as installed 2G/3G networks. It features a 20 MHz demodulation capability to measure technologies such as LTE and WiMAX, and a 30-MHz Zero-Span IF Output for external demodulation of virtually any other wideband signal.
