High-Speed Serial Buses

The MP1900A/MP1800A are targeted at receiver testing for next-generation high-speed digital interfaces, such as PCI Express, Thunderbolt, and USB3.0, to improve the efficiency of design tests, device communications verification, and Jitter load margin inspection tests. Ultra High –Speed Device and optical module R&D Solution

The MP1900A/MP1800A has built-in PPGs generating wideband multichannel high-quality NRZ/PAM4 signals, a high-input-sensitivity ED, and a Jitter modulation source. This section describes efficient evaluation of optical modules and devices using the built-in noise generation source and 10Tap Emphasis.

The MP1900A supports multichannel high-baud-rate PAM4/NRZ signals with different optional PAM4 combiner units for extended range of testing functions. This section describes the role that the basic test-signal Intrinsic Jitter and high input sensitivity functions play in helping improve design test efficiency.

Optical Module and Device Manufacturing Solution

The BERTWave MP2110A/MP2100B are measuring instruments for optical modules and device production lines. With a built-in BERT and sampling oscilloscope they can simultaneously perform the Eye pattern analysis and bit error rate measurements required for evaluating optical-modules performance. Optical modules manufacturing throughput is increased by the shorter test times resulting from the high-speed measurement. Additionally, the high-sensitivity receiver helps improve line yields because the measurement results reflect DUT characteristics more accurately. The MP2110A is the optimum solution for 25G/100G/200G/400G speeds, while the MP2100B targets 10G/40G applications.

The high resolution and fast sweep speed of the MS9740A both play a key role in more efficient VCSEL, DFB-LD, Silicon Photonics, etc., evaluations.
