NEW! 2-Port PIM Hunting Certification

2-Port PIM Hunting Certification

External PIM hunting is challenging on AT&T cell sites where both Band 14 (FirstNet) and Band 17 are deployed together. PIM sources seen by both bands have a significantly higher impact on system performance than PIM sources seen by only one band. With traditional PIM test equipment, all PIM sources must be mitigated to the same low level to guarantee site performance. As a result, crews may waste time and money over-mitigating PIM sources seen by only one band that has little impact on site performance.

An external 2-port filter is being used in the class along with Anritsu test equipment to split the F1 and F2 test tones from the PIM analyzer, delivering one tone to the Band 14 antenna and the other tone to the Band 17 antenna. The tones only re-combine at PIM sources seen by both bands, allowing mitigation crews to focus their effort on the PIM sources with the highest impact on site performance.

Course Description:
2-Port PIM Hunting Certification is an advanced one-day instructor-led training course that teaches wireless professionals how to use a 2-port filter and Anritsu test equipment to locate external PIM sources at cell sites. The course uses a combination of theory and practical, hands-on exercises to build testing confidence in a real world simulation.

Time: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Price: $1,395 per student for the Anritsu public classes shown below.

Students MUST complete the External PIM Hunting Certification course prior to attending this advanced course. You can register for this prerequisite course here - External PIM Hunting Certification
