Anritsu Company will showcase technologies and test solutions for engineers who are designing emerging high-speed transmission products and systems utilizing technologies from 400 Gbit/s to 1 Tbit/s during OFC 2015 in Los Angeles, March 24-26. The solutions in the Anritsu booth (#1309) cover the entire high-speed optical communications ecosystem, from high-quality laboratory solutions that advance the next generation of technologies, to manufacturing solutions that speed time-to-market and lower cost-of-test, to compact, easy-to-use handheld field instruments for optical network installation and maintenance.

At OFC 2015, Anritsu will show how it is developing test solutions that address emerging 1 Tbit/s technologies being developed in the lab, as well as legacy technologies deployed in the field currently,” said Hiroshi Goto, Anritsu Company Business Development Manager.
For R&D applications, Anritsu will show its MP1800A BERT signal quality analyzer and MP1825B 4Tap Emphasis. The test solutions will be configured as an ultra-high-speed transmission test system operating up to 1 Tbit/s with multi-channel synchronization signals, such as Quad DP-16QAM and Dual DP-64QAM. Anritsu will also show a 400+G Super Channel test solution that will combine Anritsu’s MZ1834A 4PAM Converter with the MP1800A to generate 4PAM signals.
In addition to the Anritsu booth, the advanced analysis capabilities of the MP1800A BERT will be on display in several demonstrations throughout the OFC show floor, including OFS (booth #2111), Petra (#2230), and Teledyne LeCroy (#809). Each will use the MP1800A to showcase its cutting-edge technologies.
The VectorStar® Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) will be configured as a 4-port signal integrity solution, as well as a 70 GHz O/E test system featuring the new MN4765B O/E calibration module. With the MN4765B, the VectorStar VNA can conduct highly accurate characterizations on E/O and O/E components such as laser modulators and photo-receivers, as well as optical transmitters, receivers, and transceivers.
For 400 Gb/s Ethernet and 100 Gbps design and manufacturing environments, Anritsu will showcase the Network Master™ Flex MT1100A. The first portable transport tester that supports simultaneous installation of four independent 100 Gbps ports, the MT1100A can send and receive a variety of 100 Gbps × 4 client signals to test 400 Gbps network and transport equipment for Optical Transport Network (OTN) applications. The MT1100A will also be part of a technology demonstration being conducted by Oclaro in its OFC booth.
Optical module verification will be conducted in the Anritsu OFC booth, as well. The BERTWave MP2100A all-in-one BERT and EYE/Pulse Scope solution and MS9740A optical spectrum analyzer will be an integrated solution that performs simultaneous eye, BER and optical spectrum tests.
Recognizing the need for analysis of 100G Active Optical Cables (AOC) used in data centers, Anritsu will display a highly accurate signal integrity system at OFC 2015. Featuring the MP1800A and MP1825B, the solution will conduct simultaneous BER measurements, crosstalk and jitter tolerance tests, and bathtub jitter and eye diagram analysis for accurate 100G AOC evaluation.
Headlining the field optical test solutions is the MT1000A Network Master™ Pro, which redefines transport testing by supporting OTN, MPLS-TP and Ethernet, as well as Fibre Channel, SDH/SONET and PDH/DSn. Also on display will be the MT9083 ACCESS Master™ and MT9090 uOTDR, which combine simple one-button operation and highly durable designs to meet the needs of installation and maintenance applications.
