Flexible, Portable Transport Tester for R&D and Manufacturing of 400 Gbps Network Equipment to be Displayed by Anritsu
Network Master™ Flex MT1100A Provides Test Cost Efficiencies in Products Designed for OTN Applications
Richardson, TX – January 28, 2015
Anritsu Company will show its Network Master™ Flex MT1100A, the first portable transport tester that supports simultaneous measurement of four independent 100 Gbps ports, in its booth (#717) during DesignCon2015, January 28-29, Santa Clara, CA. Combining flexibility, portability, and cost efficiency, the MT1100A can send and receive a variety of 100 Gbps × 4 client signals to support testing of 400 Gbps network and transport equipment being developed for Optical Transport Network (OTN) applications.
Installing appropriate modules in the MT1100A chassis allows the transport tester to conduct performance and functional tests of equipment operating at bit rates from 1.5 Mbps to 400 Gbps during development and manufacturing. Each 40/100 Gbps module supports 40 GigE/100 GigE and OTU3/3e1/3e2/4 interfaces. Detailed client-signal analysis can be made with the MT1100A using its Ethernet frame capture feature. Support of various OTN mapping, including ODUflex, is also provided by the transport tester.
Test results from all four ports can be displayed on the large, 12.1-inch color LCD display, which also features a touch panel with an easy-to-use GUI for simple operation. In addition, remote operation of a full range of test functions can be made over an Internet connection for improved test efficiency and lower test costs. Because of the compact size and portability of the MT1100A, it can be easily transported to various benches in the lab, allowing more operational and economic efficiencies.
