Richardson, TX – January 28, 2015
Anritsu Company (booth #717) announces that it will collaborate with Teledyne LeCroy (booth #735) to demonstrate a highly accurate test solution for signal integrity analysis on high-speed channels during DesignCon 2015, to be held January 28-29 in Santa Clara, CA. The two leading test companies will host a technical session on the topic, as well as conduct booth demonstrations on how to successfully develop high-speed channels using 32G NRZ and PAM-4 waveform generation and jitter analysis.
“Successful development of communications channels and links that are capable of transmitting high-speed NRZ and PAM-4 patterns requires the use of capable instruments such as the Anritsu MP1800A BERT Signal Quality Analyzer and Teledyne LeCroy LabMaster 10 Zi oscilloscope. During DesignCon, we will show how these instruments can help engineers rapidly understand a channel's signal integrity performance,” said Hiroshi Goto, Anritsu Company, Business Development Manager.
In the demonstrations, waveforms with various impairments, such as random jitter (RJ) and sinusoidal jitter (SJ), and with transmitter equalization will be generated by the Anritsu MP1800A BERT, in either NRZ or PAM-4 formats with symbol rates up to 32 Gbaud. The Teledyne LeCroy LabMaster 10 Zi oscilloscope will acquire the signals and perform a fast multi-lane comparison of the jitter. The technical session will be held at 9:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. on January 29 in the Great American 2 ballroom.
“With the Anritsu and Teledyne LeCroy instruments, engineers can analyze communications channels in ways that the last generation of engineers could only dream of. With the MP1800A and LabMaster 10 Zi, signals are easily and rapidly generated, acquired, analyzed and debugged,” said Alan Blankman, Product Marketing Manager, Signal Integrity. “Serial data analysis features on the LabMaster let users quickly compare measurements from multiple lanes, different signal configuration, and alternative de-embedding and equalization settings.”
MP1800A BERT Signal Quality Analyzer
Modular in design, the MP1800A incorporates a Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG) for generating the highest-quality, highest-amplitude signals in the industry, as well as an Error Detector (ED) with high input sensitivity to support signal analyses, including burst pattern, Bathtub Jitter and EYE Diagram measurements. Various types of jitter, including SJ, RJ, BUJ and SSC, can be generated using the built-in jitter modulation source to support device Jitter Tolerance tests.
LabMaster 10 Zi Oscilloscopes
The LabMaster 10 Zi is the world’s highest bandwidth real-time oscilloscope – up to 100 GHz at 240 GS/s – with unmatched capabilities for analyzing high-speed serial and coherent optical signals. With its modular design, LabMaster 10 Zi breaks channel count barriers and provides industry-leading “bandwidth density.” Up to 20 acquisition modules with 80 channels at 36 GHz can be connected to a single display, with software that can acquire and analyze more signals than any other oscilloscope on the market.
