Anritsu Company to Sponsor Open PGA TOUR Golf Tournament for Fourth Consecutive Year

Test Instrument Leader Continues to Support Philanthropic Initiatives as Part of its Worldwide Charter

Morgan Hill, CA – October 2, 2013

Anritsu Company announces it is a corporate sponsor of the 2013 Open PGA TOUR tournament to be held at CordeValle in San Martin, CA, and part of the PGA TOUR’s Fall Series. Defending champion Jonas Blixt is scheduled to play in the tournament against some of golf’s top tour players, including rising star Brooks Koepka, 2008 Masters Champion Trevor Immelman, and former British Open Champions Stewart Cink and Ben Curtis. Competitive rounds begin on Thursday, October 10, with the Final rounds on Sunday, October 13.

"Anritsu is proud to once again sponsor the Open. We have been part of Silicon Valley since 1960 and have always been committed to ensure that the people in our community are given opportunities for growth and success. The Open supports a number of excellent organizations who share our vision for Silicon Valley and we are pleased to be able to help them in their efforts," said Donn Mulder, Anritsu Senior VP and General Manager of the Microwave Measurements Division.

The Open was established in 2006, in part, to make a significant impact on the community through charitable donations. Since its inception, the Open has raised more than $5 million for charity. In 2012, more than $1 million was donated to organizations. Proceeds from the 2013 Open will benefit the American Institute of Mathematics (AIM), The First Tee of Silicon Valley, the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics of Northern California, Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, and Ballet San Jose, the second largest professional ballet company in California.
