Anritsu Company, as part of its charter to advance RF and microwave technology, will again sponsor the annual Microwave Update (MUD) 2013 conference, to be held at the Morehead State University Space Science Center (SSC), Morehead, Kentucky, October 18-19. Anritsu has been an ongoing sponsor of MUD, which is held every year in different locations around the U.S.
Since its first event in 1985, MUD has been dedicated to microwave equipment design, construction, and operation. This year’s conference will provide an opportunity for RF and microwave professionals to interact and exchange ideas with radio amateurs working in the microwave bands and consists of presentations, seminars, hands-on sessions, tours, and test and measurement clinics.
"Microwave Update is an important event because it creates an opportunity for cross-pollination of ideas between the professional and amateur sides of microwave components and systems design. Anritsu has been a sponsor of this conference in the past by providing support personnel and loans of test equipment for the hands-on clinics. We're proud to continue our involvement in Microwave Update 2013," said David Witkowski, Sr. Product Manager at Anritsu's Microwave Measurement Division.
SSC, a division of the Department of Earth and Space Science in the College of Science and Technology at Morehead State, is an educational and research facility to support research in space science and astrophysics. The Space Science Center Building includes a control center for a 21-meter space antenna system, RF and electronics laboratories, anechoic chambers that mimic the electromagnetic environment of space, a rooftop antenna test range, space system development laboratory, classrooms, and a digital Star Theatre.
