Anritsu Company, a global provider of wireless test solutions, will showcase its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and device applications test capabilities in its booth (#35) during LTE North America, beginning today in Dallas. Among the products on display during the two-day show are the MD8475A Signaling Tester, which has new VoLTE supplementary test services, and the MD8430A LTE Network Simulator that features VoLTE-IMS analysis tools implemented utilizing the Rapid Test Designer (RTD) software control platform.
“Anritsu has been at the forefront of developing test solutions to meet the needs of the LTE market. We have provided chipset and UE manufacturers, and carriers with the test tools necessary for the successful deployment and operation of LTE networks,” said Wade Hulon, General Manager and Vice President of Anritsu Company. “Our commitment to the technology is evident in our continual introduction of test capability, including the release of VoLTE analysis tools in our MD8475A and MD8430A/RTD toolset.”
The MD8475A’s new Supplementary Service option enables functional testing of Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Call Hold, Identification Presentation, and Identification Restriction. An XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP) server for modification of service settings during test is included. The new option builds on VoLTE test functionality - including Preconditions and Authentication, and Keys Agreement (AKA) security - recently added to the MD8475A.
A market-leading VoLTE-IMS test solution, the MD8430A has enhanced VoLTE test capability. Rich Communications Services (RCS) functional test capabilities have been added to the MD8430A/RTD toolset that include simulation of network elements and protocols required for testing Enhanced Phonebook and Enhanced Messaging functionality, including presence, capability discovery, and chat, as well as Supplementary Services such as call waiting, call forwarding, and identification presentation/restriction.
In addition to the product focus on VoLTE, Mike Barrick, Business Development Manager, Wireless, for Anritsu Company, will be presenting a paper entitled Testing Performance of VoLTE Devices Under Realistic IMS Conditions. He will be speaking on Thursday, November 15, at 12:30 p.m.
Anritsu, a market leader in RF and microwave handheld test platforms, will have field test instruments on display. The MT8221B BTS Master™ high-performance base station analyzer supports 4G standards, as well as 2G/3G networks. The MT8221B’s platform provides a 20 MHz demodulation capability to support LTE bandwidths from 1.4 MHz to 20 MHz. Also on display will be the MT9090A Network Master, an easy-to-use and versatile test instrument for the installation, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and testing of Ethernet lines and optical cables used in wireless backhaul.
