Anritsu Company announces that it has expanded several existing MasterClaw® Service Assurance systems to include the capture of LTE events. Network operators are now able to troubleshoot service-affecting problems in their LTE networks using the same proven capabilities of MasterClaw that are already in use for GSM and UMTS networks.
Large scale, successful deployment of LTE depends upon the ability to integrate the OSS for LTE with existing processes and OSS systems. Mobile broadband users expect high-speed access to the same services with the same high levels of reliability, and operators need to deliver the same Quality of Service. Network operators must find solutions to provide this service at a competitive price and maintain profitability. MasterClaw is an important component in meeting this challenge, as it provides a single portal to manage network and service performance in a cost effective and efficient manner.
“MasterClaw simplifies complex networks, enabling faster detection and correction of problems, thereby improving service quality. The MasterClaw system’s ability to provide a seamless view of 2G, 3G and 4G streamlines network operations, cuts capital expenditure, and reduces training requirements. With one query, an engineer can retrieve all information about a user’s recent activity, even if they have jumped between networks,” said Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company.
MasterClaw now captures events on GSM, GPRS, UMTS and LTE networks, and supports network operations, planning, partner management, device management, customer care, and sales and marketing activities. This breadth of functionality in one system is increasingly making MasterClaw an essential business support system.
MasterClaw with LTE support is available for immediate delivery to new and existing MasterClaw customers.
