Anritsu Selected for Major Next Generation IMS Project
MasterClaw® System Chosen Over Numerous Competitive OSS Solutions to Monitor and Troubleshoot One of World’s Largest IMS NGN Deployments
Anritsu Company announces that its MasterClaw® system has been selected to monitor one of the world’s largest deployments of Next Generation Networks (NGNs) based on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), the technology that supports the migration of many services to a network with an IP core.
“Anritsu has been monitoring Voice over IP (VoIP) and IMS networks for several years. MasterClaw was selected over many other alternatives, and was chosen only after every aspect of our business was examined under a microscope. It is a sign of confidence in our solutions, and is an example of our commitment and focus on long-term customer partnerships,” said Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company.
Deploying services using IMS is gaining traction and Anritsu is at the forefront of developing OSS solutions that help ensure services over IMS meet subscriber demands for reliability and performance. The ability to pro-actively monitor and troubleshoot services, before customers report problems, is paramount. IMS introduces new equipment, new protocols and added complexity to the network. Simplifying complex networks is one of the MasterClaw system’s primary capabilities, which is why it is being selected as a monitoring system by many operators as they move from traditional networks to next-generation IMS solutions.
IMS monitoring is one of many applications of Anritsu’s MasterClaw. The network monitoring system is a multi-domain solution for troubleshooting, managing services, and managing the quality of the subscriber experience in fixed, mobile and hybrid networks. MasterClaw IMS provides real-time network connectivity and performance analysis across traditional domains, such as TDM, VoIP, Mobile Core and Access, as well as IMS (SIP, DNS and Diameter), in a single platform.
