Anritsu Company introduces TD-LTE measurement software for its MT8820C One-Box Tester that brings the inherent advantages of the MT8820C to TD-LTE testing applications. The addition of TD-LTE support to the MT8820C provides designers and manufacturers of mobile handsets with a single-instrument, economical solution for testing multi-mode UEs, including those operating in either TD-LTE or FDD LTE, as well as 2G or 3G modes.
The MX882013C TD-LTE Measurement Software allows the MT8820C to support TD-LTE RF Measurements with Call Processing, and complements the analyzer’s existing 2G to 4G support, including FDD LTE, 1xRTT, 1xEV-DO, and W-CDMA/HSPA. It also maintains the platform’s tradition of support for a broad range of applications that extend from R&D to manufacturing test.
“The addition of TD-LTE to the wide range of existing formats accentuates the flexibility of the MT8820C platform and clearly positions it as a single-instrument solution for UE test,” said Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company. “This achievement underscores our commitment to support test requirements for the complete UE life cycle and to meet customer test needs as new high-speed formats are launched on global networks.”
The MT8820C is a single-instrument solution with a broad range of test capabilities that include UE calibration, RF parametric test, and functional test. In addition to TD-LTE, FDD LTE, 1xRTT, 1xEV-DO, and W-CDMA, the MT8820C can measure TD-SCDMA/HSPA and GSM/GPRS/E-GPRS – all with or without call processing. The MT8820C has a unique Parallel Phone Mode (PPM) that allows for true simultaneous testing of two UEs concurrently or simultaneous testing of dual-radio UEs, such as SV-LTE and SVDO.
