Anritsu Company will be exhibiting some of its handheld test solutions designed to help ILEC, CLEC, and IOC professionals deploy, install, and maintain both fiber and wireless networks during OSP EXPO 2010. On display in the Anritsu booth (#117) will be the MT9090A Network Master™, MT9083B ACCESS Master™, and CMA5000a Multi-Layer Network Test Platform for fiber testing, and the MS2712E/MS2713E Spectrum Master™ for wireless signal analysis.
The palm-size MT9090A platform allows technicians to quickly and cost-effectively isolate network problems. At OSP, the MT9090A will be equipped with the Drop Cable Fault Locator module that evaluates optical cables with less than 1 m dead zones. Also at the show will be the MT9090A with the 10MB/100MB/1GB Ethernet module that transforms the Network Master into a comprehensive installation and maintenance tool for certifying optical- or copper-based Ethernet networks. In addition, a new series of OTDR modules designed for the installation and maintenance of optical networks, including FTTx networks featuring up to 1x64 PONs, will be introduced.
Technicians can use the MT9083B for optical cable fault location, as well as to verify link length; evaluate fiber connectors; and measure link loss, optical return loss, and optical power levels. It can also be used for splice loss; connector reflectance; and pre-service turn-up. ACCESS Master provides all the measurement functions and performance required for optical fiber construction and maintenance of access, FTTx, LAN and metro networks in a compact, lightweight, all-in-one unit that eliminates the burden of carrying many different test sets and instruments on-site.
The CMA5000a features a common user interface, open architecture design and numerous test technologies that allow the platform to evolve with user testing needs and to address ever-changing telecommunication infrastructures. Key technologies integrated into the CMA5000a include OTDR, optical spectrum analysis, dispersion, SONET and Ethernet up to 10 Gbs.
For wireless testing, Anritsu will display the MS2712E/MS2713E. The Spectrum Master can be used to conduct spectrum analysis, interference analysis, power measurements, and signal quality measurements, as well as to measure Over-the-Air (OTA) communications standards. Each model delivers ease of use, rich functionality, and best-in-class price/performance in a handheld instrument that can handle the most punishing field conditions.
