Application Specialist

Anritsu is looking for an Application Specialist to join our team. The Application Specialist provides support to the sales team by performing several administrative tasks, including generating sales quotes. In addition, this person will be the main point for the Regional Sales Managers. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should be organized, flexible, and tech-savvy. In addition, this person will need to balance multiple projects and prioritize them.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Point of contact for the department: answering incoming calls as well as email messages
  • Partners with Sr. Application Specialist, Application Specialist as necessary to help generate quotes or research current or potential customers
  • Partners with a group of Regional Sales Managers and assist with quotes and salesforce management
  • Analyzes application details through various systems and support personnel to determine the correct engineered solution for presentation to the customer
  • Creates and provides equipment proposals to the field per these activities efficiently and accurately
  • Supports Salesforce database of leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities for assigned territory
  • Update Salesforce opportunities by attaching quotation, adding line item pricing upon completion of the quote, and essential project notes
  • Supports the sales team on other sales related activities that are relevant to closing orders

Secondary Job Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
  • Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program, and cash flow.
  • Develops and maintains diversity, equity, and inclusion program; affirmative action (if applicable) files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Manages training programs across departments through learning management system and additional external resources
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt, and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars
  • Maintains organizational charts and employee directory
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives concerning established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the department's efficiency and services performed.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree preferred and five (5) years of experience or nine (9) years of equivalent experience in the HR field

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

SHRM Certified Professional or Professional of Human Resources Certification Credentials

Office Coordinator

Office Coordinator

Anritsu Infivis Inc. is currently seeking an Office Coordinator for our location in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This position is responsible for overall office activities, including the reception area, break room, supply closet, mail, large purchasing requests, and additional facilities. In addition, this position is also responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. We seek qualified candidates available for immediate hire who are confident in their abilities to see tasks quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manages the office to ensure cleanliness and organization, effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally, to maintain a professional image
  • Negotiates the purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff following company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions, which include the postage meter and copiers
  • Maintains and buys breakroom and office supplies, including ordering business cards and name plaques for new hires through appropriate vendors and adding postage to the meter
  • Manages our fleet of company vehicles, ELD system, and provides updated drivers licenses and insurance needs for our insurance company
  • Acts as an executive assistant for the leadership team, completing assignments (reporting, travel arrangements, meeting notes, etc.) as directed
  • Manages office calendar of visitors and meetings in Outlook, including a welcome sign for visitors/customers, and provides hospitality to guests and visitors by directing and guiding them to their locations accordingly
  • Arranges travel, lodging, food, and interpreter coordination for customers, out of country visitors, and new hires
  • Coordinates annual sales meeting for all distributors and representatives, schedules venue,  meals, and entertainment (lodging as necessary)
  • Manages corporate agreements with hotels (Doubletree, Sheraton, and Holiday Inn).
  • Participates as needed in special department projects

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of previous experience in office management
  • At least two years of switchboard experience
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx, and UPS
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Some experience with Salesforce.com and SAP helpful, but not required

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and working with independent sales agencies to provide the coaching, strategy, and technical product knowledge to grow our business. The right candidate will have 3-5 years of sales experience, a high business and technical acumen, and acute management abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with capital equipment sales (packaging equipment, conveyors, industrial printing equipment, or food processing equipment), a strong technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meets sales targets through sales representative development, direct selling, and key account management
  • Motivates, manages, and assists independent sales channel towards success

Requirements for the Regional Sales Manager:

  • 5+ years of capital sales experience with 6+ months or longer sales cycles
  • Packaging equipment Industry with inspection technology experience preferred, but not essential
  • Two-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability for 35-50% overnight travel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience utilizing a CRM
  • Effective and efficient time management capabilities
  • Initiative and follow-through
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
