Wi-Fi 7 / Wi-Fi 6E

Wi-Fi 7 / Wi-Fi 6E

The importance of WLAN technology as basic infrastructure remains unchanged even in the 5G/IoT era, and WLAN standards are continually evolving to help implement next-generation use cases, including AR/VR and high-definition video streaming applications. In addition to implementing High Efficiency (HE), Wi-Fi 6/6E supports lower latency, reduced interference, larger capacity, and better reliability. Big progress has also been made in improved security. The upcoming Wi-Fi 7 aims to implement Extremely High Throughput (EHT) by including functions for increasing frequency usage efficiency as well as by improving overall throughput. This page introduces the progress of WLAN technology as well as WLAN tests and regulatory tests for assuring device communications quality.
