Anritsu ‘s VectorStar MS4640A Vector Network Analyser selected by Omnisys for their future Test Requirements
70GHz measurement capacity and above of the MS4640A will enable Omisys to address all parts of their operations more efficiently
Kista, Sweden, 20 August 2013 - Anritsu AB is pleased to announce that their VectorStar MS4640A Vector Network Analyser has been selected by Omnisys for their future test requirements in evaluating performance of high frequency designs. This followed several months of close co-operation in evaluating the technical needs and future requirements of Omnisys for VNA measurements.
Omnisys will be using the VectorStar for applications ranging from low frequencies all the way up to 55GHz and above, intended for Radiometer measurement systems used in atmospheric measurements
The VectorStar MS4640A series offers world leading capability for measurement speed, span and stability. “For our radiometer products, high frequency coverage with excellent dynamic range is essential. Anritsu understood our need to be able to easily extend with external frequency extenders to go above 70GHz at a later date was important to us, and could provide a customized solution for this. In addition, the uniquely small form factor of the frequency extenders from Anritsu looks very promising for us” commented Tony Pellikka, project manager at Omnisys.
The VectorStar MS4640A provides the unique capability to expand the system to support the Anritsu millimetre wave modules to extend the frequency to 140 GHz. These modules contain revolutionary technology that increases the stability of measurements whilst also dramatically reducing the size of the modules.
"The price/performance ratio, together with the 5 years warranty and support package from Anritsu, creates an excellent solution and as a whole the VectorStar is a very modern system. The 70GHz measurement capacity and above will enable us to address all parts of our operations more efficiently. In the past, we had to rely on external partners for these measurements. The fact that Anritsu enabled us to acquire this system will significantly improve our competitiveness." highlights Martin Kores, CEO of Omnisys.
