Anritsu Offers Improved Ethernet and 100G OTN Interoperability with GMP Mapping Support
Anritsu today announced the launch of their new MD1260A-005/006/007 software options with support for OTU4 mapping as well as strengthening functions of its MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer.
August 15th, 2011 - Anritsu today announced the launch of their new MD1260A-005/006/007 software options with support for OTU4 mapping as well as strengthening functions of its MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer.
Anritsu’s all-in-one MD1260A measurement solution supports the high-speed 40/100G Ethernet and 40/100G OTN (OTU3 / OTU4) communications standards with a full line-up of versatile signal generation and analysis functions; combined with the new software option offers easy quality evaluation of 100G OTN transmission equipment with built-in GMP mapping.
GMP mapping is a method for transferring the various Ethernet client signals (circuit user signals) at different speeds over OTN and is a key technology for improving interoperability of Ethernet and 100G OTN.
With this new MD1260A support for GMP mapping, Anritsu hopes to help facilitate the smooth rollout of new high-speed networks.
